CFSA MISSION
To promote a positive athletic environment for the development of physical wellness, competitive spirit, and pure enjoyment for the young and young at heart of the Lower Cape Fear Region.

CFSA Organization
Cape Fear Soccer Association is a non-profit North Carolina Corporation organized to promote and administer the operation of a participation soccer league both participative and competitive. CFSA offers every child and adult the opportunity to play at his or her own level of competition. Teams are provided in Recreational, Challenge, and Classic youth leagues; recreational, competitive & amateur adult leagues. Emphasis is placed on the development of soccer skills, participation, sportsmanship, and enjoyment of the game.

SOCCER YEAR
Our soccer year begins in the fall and continues throughout the spring. Participation awards will be given to the U4-U8 teams each season.

TEAM ASSIGNMENTS
Teams are formed beginning with the fall season, returning player will remain on the same team throughout the Spring season. Players will be assigned to teams based on age, gender, and by geographic location per CFSA General rules. Applications received after the deadline will be placed on a waiting list and assigned to teams ONLY as space permits.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:
SPECIAL REQUESTS TO PLACE A PLAYER ON A SPECIFIC TEAM IS NOT GUARANTEED. In accordance with USYSA (United States Youth Soccer Association) and NCYSA (North Carolina Youth Soccer Association) guidelines regarding the Recreational Division. USYSA and NCYSA expressly prohibit recruiting or building Recreation Division teams. CFSA is a member of both USYSA and NCYSA; therefore, the CFSA Recreational Board will abide with this guideline. CFSA’s failure to comply may result in fines, penalties and/or suspension.

REFUND POLICY
Refund requests for the Fall 2008 season must be submitted in writing by September 8th. Any requests after this date will not be honored. A $20.00 administration fee will be applied to all refunds.

EQUIPMENT
**It is mandatory for all players to wear shin guards. The entire surface of the shin guard must be covered at all times.
**No jewelry of any kind may be worn. This includes earrings and metal or plastic hair clips.
**Players are required to wear the uniform provided by CFSA. No player will be allowed to play if the uniform has been altered. An exception is that players are allowed to wear sweat suits under their uniforms during cold weather.

COACHES
Being a non-profit organization, CFSA relies heavily upon volunteers. If you or anyone you know might be interested in helping CFSA provide an enjoyable, learning experience for the youth of the Wilmington area, please call us @ 910-392-0306, or reach us by email at Tara@capefearsoccer.com. If you are interested in being a coach but feel that you do not have the soccer know-how, we offer coaches clinics throughout the year to help you gain the knowledge and confidence needed to coach effectively at the recreational level.
*For the younger age divisions, previous soccer experience is not necessary.
