The Rookie Program is non-contact and open to boys and girls age 6 as of October 1st. This program is for development and will run 2-days per week, August 20th October 24th.

The FPYC Football practice jersey is required for all players. Returning players may use theirs from last season. New registrants and those needing a practice jersey must annotate in the registration. The practice jersey is yours to keep.

***IMPORTANT*** - DMV Child ID:
All players must possess the DMV Child ID aka "Walker" ID for weight certification. If your player does not have a DMV Child/Walker ID, you must obtain one immediately or at least before August 12. This process requires a visit to the DMV and allowing at least 2 weeks for the ID to be received in the mail. If your player already has a DMV Child/Walker ID, make certain it is current to include the correct address. Visit the FPYC Football webpage for further details. Note: Players must show their DMV ID or receipt before receiving football equipment.

Registration is open to cheerleaders in grades K-6 only. Middle School and High School cheerleaders should contact the Director, Pam Hammond, for more information. See the Cheer homepage on our website for details.

Uniforms are required to compete and must be purchased during distribution dates TBD each season. Uniform costs are NOT included in the registration fee.

Where applicable, a family discount may apply to specific fees when children from one family participate in the same sport, in the same season. All family members must register at the same time to be eligible for any discount offered. Neither Basketball, nor Wrestling, offer family discounts.

FPYC is no longer able to provide full scholarships; however, a limited number of reduced-fee scholarships are available for some sports. In order to qualify, applicants must live in Fairfax County and receive assistance from one or more of the following: Free/Reduced School Lunch, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, Aid for Dependent Children, Foster Care, or Medicaid. All applicants must also be enrolled in school (kindergarten through 12th grade). If your child meets these criteria, you MUST register in person and bring a copy of your benefits, or eligibility, letter with you to be considered. At a minimum, a $45.00 handling fee will be deducted from ALL refunds.

In order to successfully complete registration you must:

1) Select a sport for registration.
2) Complete all requested information for each player.
3) Complete the online payment transaction.
