Spring 2018 Recreational Soccer (Kindergarten Through High School)
Regular Registration: Open now - March 5, 2018
(March 5th deadline applies to 1st – 8th grades only)
Registrations after March 5 are not guaranteed a place on a Rec team.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION


  • Registrations, Deadlines and Late Fees:
    • Recreational Soccer:For players in 1st – 8th grades, registrations must be completed by March 5, 2018 to guarantee participation in Rec soccer. Registrations after March 5 are not guaranteed a place on a Rec team.
    • For players in 1st – 8th grades only: Registrations received on or after 12:00AM on March 6, 2018 will be considered late, and a $20.00 late registration fee will be applied to the player's registration.
    • For Kindergarten/9th-12th graders only: Registrations received on or after 12:00AM on March 19, 2018 will be considered late, and a $20.00 late registration fee will be applied to the player's registration.
    • After the first games begin, families interested in registering late for Spring soccer must contact the ASA Registrar at registrar@arlingtonsoccer.com or 703-527-0157 to determine if space is available.

  • Payment:
    • Note that your child will not be registered until payment is received. If your child is not registered, he or she will not be assigned to a team. Online registrations are accepted only when paid by credit card or debit card. Financial aid participants new to ASA or those without current documentation on file are asked to come to the ASA Office (5210 Wilson Blvd.) to register and pay in person. Please contact the ASA Registrar for more info: registrar@arlingtonsoccer.com or 703-527-0157.

  • Documentation of date of birth (please check the box to indicate your agreement):
    • All players who play ASA recreational soccer are required to provide documentation confirming their date of birth, if they have not done so in previous rec seasons. Further information on this process will be emailed to applicable players after registration.

  • Refund Policy:
    • Please check the box to indicate your agreement:
      • Mini Soccer, Academy and Pre-Academy
        • More than 7 days before the start of the session = 75% refund
        • 7 to 3 days before the start of the session = 50% refund
        • 2 days or less before the start of the session = 25% refund
        • After the session has started = no refund

        NOTE: If a session is closed for reasons beyond ASA’s control (i.e. weather issues, facility availability, etc.), no refunds will be issued for those closed sessions. Exceptions would include sessions canceled due to under enrollment as well as any specific player enrollment or placement situations that need addressing; ASA hopes to address those issues prior to the start of a session.

      • Recreational Soccer
        • No refunds will be given after the first game of the season, except if a player experiences a season-ending injury. Refund requests can be made up to one day before the scheduled first game of the Rec season for the appropriate age group. Players experiencing a season-ending injury (proved by providing a signed and dated letter from a doctor stating such) will be granted a pro-rated refund based on the number of games left in the season. Late fees, if applicable, cannot be refunded due to a season-ending injury. All refunds are subject to a $5 processing fee to cover the cost of credit card processing fees. While rare, if the weather or some other unavoidable circumstance limits our program in any way, no refunds or other adjustments will be made.

  • Financial Aid:
    • ASA is committed to ensuring that all children can play soccer regardless of their family's financial resources. To apply for financial aid, please submit a copy of one of the following to the ASA office: Certification for Free or Reduced Lunch Program, Certification for Food Stamps, Footd stamps, SNAP program, Parks & Recreation letter.
    • If you are going to submit any required documents for financial aid, please select "Yes" in the Financial Aid Information section of the application. Note that your child will not be registered until payment and documentation are received. You may submit through email or verify at the office.

  • Player Placement:
    Returning players who register by February 11, 2018, will be automatically placed on their Fall 2017 team, unless they request otherwise in the 'Special Request' field on the registration form. All players will be placed on teams on a first-come, first-served basis, according to their completed registration date. Roster spots cannot be held open for players who wait to register until later in the process.
    • Fall teams that exceeded the roster size limits may wish to be smaller in the Spring. The team coach needs to agree to take players past the size limit. If the coach says no, not all players from a large team may go back to the same team.
    • Teams will also need to adhere to the limits of select players (Travel/Developmental) per team. This may cause some players to be unable to return to their same team.
    • ASA provides no guarantees regarding player placement on specific teams or the completion of all games in a season.
