Online Registration for SBMSA Lacrosse is from Saturday, December 15, 2012 until Tuesday, January 15, 2013 for all players.
SBMSA Lacrosse: Please be advised that we will have ONE (In Person) registration day on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 9:00AM-11:00 AM at the Memorial Middle School Baseball fields, behind Mac Haik Ford.
SBMSA Junior Baseball is from Tuesday, January 1, 2013 until Sunday, January 20, 2013 for all players. Any online registration after January 20, 2013 will be charged an additional $35.
SBMSA Senior Baseball
Pony regular registration opens on Jan. 1 and it closes on Jan. 20. Late registrations will continue until Jan. 23, space permitting. Any online registration after January 20, 2013 will be charged an additional $35. Pony players must use an aluminum bat that is -8 (length vs. weight) or heavier (-5 or -3) that has the either the USSSA 1.1.5 BPF stamp or the BBCOR certification.
Colt regular registration opens on Jan. 1 and it closes on Jan. 20. Late registrations will continue until Jan. 27, space permitting. Any online registration after January 20, 2013 will be charged an additional $35. Refunds will be provided through the first game for registrants who make their high school teams. Colt players must use either an aluminum bat that is -3 (length vs. weight) that has the BBCOR certification or a wooden bat that is -3 (length vs. weight).
SBMSA Softball is from Saturday, January 1, 2013 until Friday, February 3, 2013 for all players, excluding 15U. 15U registration will close on January 25th.
SBMSA Baseball & Softball: Please be advised that we will have three in-person registration days. The first will be Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 9:00AM-11:00AM. The second will be on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 6:00PM-8:00PM, and the third on Saturday, January 19, 2013 from 9:00AM-11:00AM. All in-person registrations will be held at the Memorial Middle School Baseball fields, behind Mac Haik Ford.
SBMSA Lacrosse is for boys and girls, ages 8-10 based on age as of July 31, 2012. (*If child turned 11 before 7/31/2012 then they are not eligible, also must be 8 as of 7/31/2012 to be eligible.)
SBMSA Junior Baseball is for children ages 5-12. The Rookie Division is for children 5 and 6. The Midget Division includes children ages 7 and 8. The Pee Wee Division includes children ages 9 and 10. The Bronco division includes children ages 11 and 12. The 2013 age cut off for all divisions is April 30, 2013.
All Pee Wee and Bronco Division players are required to attend a skills evaluation to be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, or Sunday, February 3, 2013.
SBMSA Senior Baseball – Pony division is for boys ages 13-14. The Colt Division is for boys ages 15-18. The 2013 age cut off for all divisions is April 30, 2013.
SBMSA Softball is for girls ages 5-15 based on age as of July 31, 2013. 6U is 5 and 6 year olds. 8U is 7 and 8 year olds. 10U is 9 and 10 year olds. 12U is 11 and 12 year olds. 15U is 13, 14 and 15 year olds.
10U and 12U Division players are required to attend a skills evaluation to be held on Sunday, February 10, 2013. 15U Division players are required to attend a skills evaluation on Sunday, January 27th.
You will be notified of actual time and location after registration.
This will be our first full season in the new complex at Spring Branch Elementary, our permanent home for 10U, 12U and 15U age groups. The complex includes three fields, concession, permanent bathrooms, batting cages, and meeting room. Our 6U and 8U age groups will continue play at our fields at the Guthrie Center, which we recently announced as a new BCS (Bathroom/Concession stand/Storage) construction project.
That being said, SBMSA Softball is still incurring capital expense related to the transition of the softball program back to our own fields. Please donate generously and please keep corporate matching opportunities in mind.
We are currently looking for sponsors to donate toward the expense of new bleachers at both Guthrie and Spring Branch Elementary. A bleacher sponsorship is $2,000 including a plaque affixed to the bleacher or to the wall facing the seats. If you would like to be a bleacher sponsor, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are no refunds after the close of registration. If requested before the close of registration, you will receive a refund, less a $25 administration fee.
